March 20, 2020
Dear Valued Recovery First Family,
Your health and well-being are always first and primary to us. We have been continuing to monitor the changing environment regarding COVID-19 and how our State and nation are responding. Because of new requirements regarding stay-at-home policies we have decided to take the pro-active steps in migrating all in-person therapy sessions onto our teletherapy platform. This is effective March 20, 2020. We always have your health and best interests in mind, and therefore, we believe this action will help our communities and your families remain healthy by decreasing any further exposure to COVID-19.
As we stated previously, we assure you that teletherapy will provide the same level of care as you receive in face to face sessions. It is on a platform that is safe and secure as well as HIPAA compliant. Using teletherapy is literally as easy as opening an app, clicking on a link or picking up a phone. So know, if you are an existing client, your mental health services can continue without any disruptions, or if you are a new client seeking services, we can provide critical access to mental healthcare easily and effectively from the comfort of your own home. In addition, we are also taking further action in monitoring the changes that many health insurance companies we are in-network with are implementing to expand access to everyone.
We thank you for your cooperation. We know this a stressful time for everyone as we make these necessary changes. But I know as a community we will pull through and become even stronger through this experience. We will get through this together!
Sincerely,
Luis Virella, LCSW, LCADC

Dear Valued Recovery First Family,
Your health and well-being are always first and primary to us. We are aware that we are facing challenges in this new environment while our State and nation are trying to manage the issues we face regarding COVID-19. We want you to know that we are taking proactive steps to make sure that we are deep cleaning our office, practicing good hygiene and using appropriate forms of social distancing.
As we move forward in the next few weeks and months, we are aware that there may be times when it is necessary to move our therapy sessions onto a teletherapy platform. We are pleased to say that we do have this capability and you do not need to be concerned about disruption of critical mental health care services. Teletherapy will provide the same level of care as you receive in face to face sessions. It is on a platform that is safe and secure as well as HIPAA compliant. Using teletherapy is literally as easy as opening an app, clicking on a link or picking up a phone.
In the next few days we will be introducing this new feature to get you knowledgeable about the software and prepared to use if there are some sudden changes in how we meet with one another. This will ensure that if we must use teletherapy, we will all be ready to hit the ground running with little to no disruption. Please know that we plan to move forward with this feature if an emergency has been declared by local, state or federal officials or if there are certain circumstances that have happened to warrant us to make the decision to implement this change.
Thank you for your cooperation at this pressing time. We know things will eventually get better. So please remain hopeful and at peace knowing that we will all get through this together!
Sincerely,
Luis Virella, LCSW, LCADC
