Recovery is the process of improving your health, living a self-directed life, and reaching your full potential. Anxiety, depression, stress, and addictions have the ability to rob us of these things. At Recovery First, I will help you learn new tools so that you can begin the recovery process to support a better and stronger mental health.
During sessions I use both psychotherapy methods: CBT and DBT. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) helps identify and challenge problematic thinking that affects how a person feels. Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) helps people learn how to live in the moment, cope healthily with stress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships with others.
Through the use of these therapy methods, I will help you prioritize yourself. I want you to have the opportunity to tell your story, how you see the problem, identify what you want and exchange ideas on how to get there. We will work on those steps with the ultimate objective of you achieving your desired treatment goals.
